PET/CT Applications Specialist

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Application Specialist is responsible for all aspects of PET/PET CT and SPECT/SPECT CT imaging software application training, installation, and issue diagnoses and repair from internal and external customers for TTG Imaging Solutions.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide technical support by assisting field service engineers and external customers to resolve applications related errors.
• Work with team to efficiently use all imaging equipment through unique configuration and software applications to meet company objectives.
• Create and coordinate a training program for staff technologists in the use of vendor applications.
• Maintain/update training material and associated record keeping.
• Maintain and improve performance of imaging workstation applications through regular communication with vendors and service engineers.
• Maintain basic and advanced PC knowledge of workstation operation systems.
• Create and update guidelines for clients related to camera and workstation facility requirements.
• Maintain policies and procedures as related to application software.
• Maintain an updated reference library of all vendor software.
• Demonstrate application software and imaging workstations to current and potential Customers.
• Adhere to Quality Management Procedures (QMP) and Work Instructions (WI) as set by the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Required to comply with all safety and compliance policies and procedures as it relates to their job duties and responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as determined by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand or walk; often must sit for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, operate tools, computers or equipment; sometimes reach with hands and arms; rarely climb stairs; rarely balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; must often talk or hear.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Up to 75% travel required.
• Work to be performed from hospital and clinic locations during travel.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE:

• There is limited radiation exposure during the performance of job duties when proper protocol is followed. Employees are required to use personal protective equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Current NMTCB certification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM. Valid Drivers license.
• Condition of employment; completion and favorable results of Background Investigation and Drug Screen.
• Must complete safety, OSHA and HIPAA, sexual harassment compliance training, ISO, and OEM related training. Continuous training and knowledge seeking of company products and services.

• Previous Nuclear Medicine, PET or PET/PET CT applications knowledge and/or training experience.
• Proficiency with diagnostic imaging industry OEMs.
  • Strong preference for GE OEM experience.
