The team you will be a part of

The Channel Sales (Commission) team is responsible for selling products and services to a wide range of highly complex or major accounts and customers and execution of sales plans, targets and budgets within the overall regional and business unit sales strategy. Accountable for increasing sales/client ratio and expanding customer base.

This role in summary

The regional manager will have responsibility for all InSinkErator product lines through the wholesale channel, which includes plumbing wholesalers, plumbing contractors, builders, appliance distributors and dealers, and kitchen and bath showrooms.  This role is in direct management of a team of manufacturers rep agencies in the midwest market.Also included are responsibilities for the property management channel as the wholesale lead and Internet resale customers as they may apply to specific accounts within the region. Participation with regional affiliates of the American Supply Association, Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractor Association Chapters, and Builder Associations is also expected. Regional will also support all private label pursuits in their market.  The midwest market includes over 200 direct wholesale customers, including some of our top twenty accounts (First Supply, Etna Supply, Lee Supply, Central Supply)

Your responsibilities will include

  • Hire, train, supervise and work with manufacturers’ representatives.
  • Establish key account relationships with long-term InSinkErator customers, solve problems, and maintain business growth.
  • Analyze, implement, and coordinate departmental budgets for expenses, customer development and customer rebates and allowances.
  • Forecast, implement, analyze, and attain unit and dollar forecasts for regional performance. Identify opportunities and threats to maintain and improve on sales forecasts.
  • Administer information flow between senior sales management, field sales forces and customer base.
  • Attend and participate in national, regional, and local trade shows, including Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association, American Supply Association and local builder shows.
  • Assist with and execute launch of new products to independent distributors and manufacturers representatives.
  • Develop relationships at various levels within respective National Account organizations.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, strategy, or merchandising.

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Experience managing manufacturing rep agencies or team management.
  • Background in the plumbing, heating, cooling, building, building products industry.
  • Expertise in driving innovative solutions that enhance ROI for new products and sales strategies.
  • Proven track record in executing long-term, cross-functional business plans that create sustainable market advantages.
  • Strong understanding of business principles, financial analysis, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
  • Skilled in selling and negotiating, particularly in customizing proposals to win additional business.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and drive decision-making.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
