The Role






 

We are seeking a creative and fast-paced Video Content Creator to help us elevate our video assets across our Marketing channels and engage with our community of parents and students. The ideal candidate will be skilled in video editing and capable of generating innovative ideas for education and family life related videos. This role offers the potential for growth and development, reporting to our Senior Brand Manager, within a large and dynamic Marketing team.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and produce high-quality video content for Explore Learning’s Marketing channels and social media.
  • Collaborate with our Senior Digital Marketing Manager to develop and execute a content calendar that aligns with our brand and marketing goals.
  • Work with channel specialists and the wider Marketing team to fully understand the aim of each video project. Help scope out video assets needed and expertly advise on the best video styles for projects.
  • Proactively brainstorm and storyboard new video ideas that are informative, entertaining, and relevant to our audience.
  • Planning shoots end-to-end including casting families and staff, organising shoot locations, setting up equipment, organising expenses, arranging food and accommodation etc.
  • Monitor social media trends and industry best practices and adapt content strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Help with critically evaluating video ideas and concepts across digital campaigns.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Seek feedback from team members and channel specialists to improve and refine video content
  • Be comfortable appearing on camera as well as behind the camera occasionally, interviewing children and parents
  • Travel to our nationwide tuition centres to film content with families and staff.

What we’re looking for

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating proven experience of video content creation
  • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve
  • Experience filming and editing with professional equipment and software
  • Quick and reactive to trends and latest news with the confidence to just pick up your camera and speak to families straight away.
  • Strong on-camera presence and excellent storytelling skills with the ability to translate information into easy-to-understand content.
  • A creative thinker, always generating fresh, innovative content ideas.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
  • Work well independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Genuinely passionate about working with children and the education sector
  • Keen to always get involved, learn, develop new skills and be proactive in response to feedback
  • Fluent and articulate in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK (ideally near to one of our for ease of filming)
  • Willing to travel and flexible with occasional weekend work, however you will always be given this time in lieu so you will never work more than 5 days in a row and travel expenses will be paid.

Location: Remote (UK based) with occasional travel to meetings

Job Type: Full-Time permanent role

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 (based on experience)

Working hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm
