TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab, will work closely with Principal Investigators, Research Scientists, Post-Doctoral Associates, Graduate Students, and external collaborators on ongoing research studies involving both data collection of existing tests and the evaluation of new tests. Will be responsible for a variety of technical, training and administrative assistance activities supporting the research team through all phases of the project; and support research activities related to progress in computing.

This is a one-year research appointment position. Extension beyond that is subject to renewed funding and performance.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Two years of relevant research experience (which may include experience gained as an undergraduate); demonstrated interest in computer science, progress, computational performance, algorithmic improvement; proficiency with: MS Office, Google Workspace (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Gmail, Google Slides); excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present information in small groups and write clear and concise research reportability to work in teams and contribute to group projects; demonstrated expertise in computing / AI; strong data analysis skills, including statistical / econometric training; knowledge of relevant theoretical models; proficiency with a modern programming language, e.g., Python, R; and ability to work in teams (e.g. organizational abilities).
